An international conference on the Application of EPCIS in food supply chain management was organized by SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture in Oslo on 16th November, 2011. The aim of this conference was to discuss the use of EPCIS (Electronic Product Code Information Services) for food traceability.

The TraceCore page is updated with the latest XML version (2.2) and the TraceCore abstract model. Several updates are happening in the MainSafeTrace project.

As the Trace project is drawing to a close in december this year, we are happy to report that several new projects are using the TraceFood Wiki as dissemination platform, enabling this site to live on long after Trace is concluded. Recently added projects are: eTrace, MainSafeTrace, and Scientific network within sustainable fishing.
